The Client

This client had the perfect combination of a large garden and vegetable patch to go with a substantial roof area, with the capacity to collect an enormous amount of rain. The annual rainfall collection for this project was estimated calculating the total area of collectable roof space of the house and garage, combined with the average rainfall amount for the region which resulted in the potential of over 300,000L of rain a year.

3 x 7500L Rainwater Harvesting tanks were installed. The patio was chosen as the location to install the tanks. Rainwater Harvesting supply pipework was subsequently installed to various outlet locations across the gardens, chosen by the client. Six were installed in total. A separate rainwater supply fed into the dripline system installed in the vegetable patch.

Both the vegetable patch dripline irrigation system and tank water level monitoring system are controlled via an app. The submersible pressure-sensitive rainwater pump can operate at over 100L/min providing plenty of pressure and flow even over large areas like this site.
